The truly authentic English B & B experience would not be complete without a really good breakfast. Just as well then that Grendon is the proud owner of the The Visit Britain Breakfast Award which recognises those hotels and B&Bs that offer their guests a quality and choice of breakfast, service and hospitality that exceeds what would be expected at their star rating. At Grendon we endeavour to spoil you for choice.

Our side table offers you a dazzling array of fruit compotes and fresh fruit salad to tempt the most reluctant of health food fanatics. Add our special blended muesli or granola and some natural yogurt for a delectable starter to set you up for the day.

Traditional English, with best back bacon, butcher's sausages, eggs (any style you like), black pudding, crispy potatoes, mushrooms, baked beans and grilled tomato. Choose whatever combination you like.

Scrambled eggs with smoked salmon

Cheese or herb or plain omelette with bacon, mushroom and tomato

Pancakes – classic crepe recipe! - with bacon, and maple syrup

Staffordshire oatcake cheese, tomato, bacon and mushroom wrap, ( a local speciality)

Toasted home made bread with jam, honey, home made marmalade, Marmite

Dinner
Dinner is a feast of home cooking using locally sourced ingredients. However, dinner is offered to guests as an additional option. We do not, as a rule, offer a full half-board vacation, ie, dinner on several consecutive evenings. Do ring me to talk about dinner before you arrive. We of course will do our best to give you what you need - nothing is impossible!

Enjoy the perfect ambience of a roaring log fire whilst you dine! (Sept - April)

£17 for 2 courses

You are welcome to bring your own wine to the table.

Mains
Roast pork, chicken, lamb or beef with all the trimmings
Baked salmon with pesto yogurt dressing
Breast of chicken stuffed with cheese and wrapped in Parma ham
Exotic fish pie
Pork tenderloin with mushrooms in a cream and wine sauce
Lamb shank
Plenty of fresh vegetables
